We named this reusable stainless mug with carabiner clip handle in honor of John Muir (1838-1914), founder of the Sierra Club and patron saint of our company. Muir was an early advocate of environmentalism who profoundly shaped the way Americans view our natural world. His writing and activism helped save the Yosemite Valley, Sequoia National Park and other critical wilderness areas at a time when few others challenged the depletion of resources and destruction of ecosystems being caused by America’s rampant expansion. Muir was way ahead of his time, and we all still benefit from his wisdom, legacy and love for the planet. Do Not Microwave. Handwash is recommended for all of our products to promote durability of the imprints. Wash after each use to prolong life and maintain clean, neutral taste. Safe, clean and non-toxic. Stainless mug and inks used to imprint it are fully tested for lead, BPA, phthalates, and are FDA and California Prop 65 compliant. This piece will last for years and is 100% recyclable at the end of its useful life. This product is made responsibly in China, and imprinted in the USA. Ships from our factory in Southern California. Do not microwave. Top shelf dishwasher safe. However, hand wash is recommended for all of our products to prolong life and better preserve paint and imprint quality. Recommended hand wash after each use, especially for drinks other than H20.
